This chapter covers the learning of measurement in time. It will involve the conversion of the units in hours to minutes and vice versa as well as conversion of minutes to seconds and vice versa. ## CHAPTER 9 LENGTH, VOLUME, MASS

In this chapter, students will be able to read and measure length, volume and mass. They will also learn to convert from one form of unit to another and express them in different formats. Fractions and decimals will aid in the reading and measurements of quantity less than 1. There will be opportunities for them to solve word problems to apply their learning of the units of length, volume and mass.

## CHAPTER 10 GEOMETRY

In this chapter, students will learn to use square grids to describe the position of an object. The square grid will then work as two axes for a clearer meaning to describe the position of the object. Students will learn to use coordinates to describe the position of an object. In addition, students will learn to sort two-dimensional shapes namely quadrilaterals and triangles. They will learn to sort them mainly by analyzing their angles and sides.

## CHAPTER 11 VOLUME OF SOLIDS

In this chapter, students will understand volume of three-dimensional shapes by using cubes to determine volume first. Then, they will explore the ways to find the volume of three-dimensional shapes using cubes and learn to calculate the volume and capacity of three-dimensional shapes. They will also learn the use of different units to measure volume and capacity of three-dimensional shapes.
