– Incorporate the Concrete-Pictorial-Abstract approach to learning mathematical concepts around whole number operations and fractions
-Design lessons using the three-part lesson structure
-Compare questioning techniques that develop natural number talks within the lesson
-Use multiple methods in solving problems to develop number sense
-Delivery techniques that are effective for distance learning
-Create virtual learning environments that teach conceptually using the Concrete-Pictorial-Abstract
Participants will be mailed a resource kit prior to the training. Registrations that are within two weeks of the institute date may require extra postage.
Dr. Yeap Ban Har and Dr. Jennifer Bay-Williams will deliver keynote talks throughout the 3 days.
